As I add more paint I begin to focus on texture and the unique attributes that characterize the subject of the painting. Color also begins to take on greater importance.

Sometimes I want to stop around stages 4 & 5 because the painting has a feel of spontaneity and freshness that appeals to me and I fear I will loose if I continue.
